This policy explains what personal information Optimum Web Studios collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are

What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the service you're interested in, your message, and any estimate from our pricing or maintenance calculators.
- Support tickets. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your website, the details of your request, and any files you attach. The same applies to emails you send to [email protected].
- Quotes and payments. Your name, email address and billing address, so we can send quotes and invoices. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Analytics. Plausible counts visits to the live site without cookies and without identifying you. Google Analytics, which uses cookies, only runs if you accept. See our cookies page.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote, because you asked us to.
- To provide the work you've agreed with us, including support, invoices and payments.
- To keep the accounting records the law requires.
- To improve the website. Plausible counts visits without cookies. Google Analytics only runs with your consent.
We don't sell your information or use it for marketing lists. We don't send a newsletter or marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run the website and our business. They only handle your information on our behalf.
- Railway hosts the website, its database and file storage, in the EU.
- Resend sends and receives our website emails.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by people, not spam bots.
- Stripe processes card payments.
- QuickBooks (Intuit) keeps our accounts, including quotes and invoices.
- Plausible counts page views on the live site. It does not use cookies.
- Google Analytics measures how the site is used, only if you accept.
Some of these companies are based outside the EU. Where your information leaves the EU, they protect it with the safeguards EU law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and closed support tickets, with their attachments, are deleted after 24 months. Quotes, invoices and payment records are kept for 6 years, as Irish tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law
- stop or limit how we use it
- give you your information in a format you can take elsewhere
If you accepted analytics cookies, you can withdraw that at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Email [email protected] for anything else, and we'll reply within one month.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
